Airport Information
Panama City is in Northwest Florida on the Gulf of Mexico.
Panama City has an airport: Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP). Delta and Southwest fly into Panama City, Florida. If you want to fly from Miami, you will find American Airlines flights into Tallahassee. (You can rent a car in Tallahassee for the 2-hour drive to PCB.)
Traveling by car
It is a 2-hour drive from Tallahassee, a 5-hour drive from Atlanta or New Orleans, 6 hours from Orlando or Tampa, and 12 hours from Miami.
If traveling from South Florida: Take Interstate 75 North to Interstate 10 West to Route 231 South. If you have time and want to discover “another Florida”, you can drive up Route 19 and then 98 to explore the Gulf Coast through, Crystal River, Homosassa Springs, Cedar Key, Wakulla Springs. Don’t miss Gulf Specimen in Panacea or Apalachicola, Cape St. Blas, St. George Island and Crooked Island. There are so many pristine and untouched wetlands and shore lines to explore. Relatively inexpensive motels can be found on the way.
